Currently, there are four field trip options: Each virtual field trip experience lasts around 30 minutes and are aligned to Florida state standards. Virtual Field Trips are available for classroom educators. Group sizes larger than twenty-five can be accommodated with student rotations. Please note that only twenty-five individuals (students and teachers/chaperones) are permitted inside the building at the same time, so please plan the length of your visit accordingly. To reserve a date and time, please allow 30 days’ notice and contact information about your group size, age, and preferred dates and times. The Aquarium is all geared up for the school year with educators available to lead in-person school group programs. The security guards will give kids “official police badges” and there are lots of great free resources to pick up in the visitor center to read later. The Capitol Building does offer tours, but it’s just as much fun to walk around outside the building and check out the visitor center. They are a fun and relaxing way to explore Washington DC with kids.Īll of the monuments are lit up at night and so beautiful! DC quiets down in the evening and kids can run around the parks. Another fun way to tour is on The Duck boats are amphibious vehicles that drive on land and then float on water. There are great boat tours of the city and it’s a beautiful way to see DC.
